On 25th January 2019, secondary schools across the Turks & Caicos Islands competed in the National Inter-High Schools’ Aids Debate. The theme this year is: One Drop is all it takes “Know your Status” Get Tested.
Teams debated the moot: Be it Resolved “It is the Responsibility of the Medical Personnel to ensure that all individuals in the TCI are tested and know their status.Team RGHS comprised of 3rd-year students, Addy Gonzales (Reserve), and Ruth Pierre; 4th-year student, Sarah Forbes and final-year student, Jessica Corvil. The RGHS team opposed the moot.
The competition was held at Yellowman & Son’s Auditorium in Grand Turk. H.J. Robinson High emerged as the winner of the debate, with RGHS in 2nd Place and Long Bay High in 3rd Place.
We are very proud of our team’s performance and their coach, Ms Marguerite Anderson on a job well-done.
